A mixed touring, glamping and camping site in Whitby has been sold in a deal brokered by property consultancy Savills.
The park has been sold to a park operator from a guide price of £989,000.
Serenity Camping is located on a 5.5-acre and comprises a range of accommodation, with 38 touring caravan pitches, space for 42 tents and two glamping bell tents, the ‘Shepherd’s Hut’ and ‘Potting Shed’ glamping units, that provide additional accommodation. It also includes a two-bedroom owner’s cottage.
The park is located about a mile from the beach at Runswick Bay.
Richard Prestwich, director in the leisure and trade related team at Savills Chester, said: “Serenity Camping is a real demonstration of the success that can come from diversifying a campsite.
“Providing a range of accommodation options attracts a wider base of visitors and is something the park has proven. We are delighted to have secured a sale of the property on behalf of our clients.”
