Touring and Tenting Caravanning and camping rallies

Touring and Tenting hold regular rallies and meet ups called (LMUs) or Lets Meet Up

Our rallies are open to all members and are held on both commercial sites and rally fields (occasional) we currently hold exemption certificates for this purpose but find members on the whole prefer commercial campsites.

LMU's (Lets Meet Up) are organised by members and can be held anywhere in the Country and members are normally asked to book with the site themselves rather than through Touring and Tenting

Touring and Tenting rallies and meets are open to all members young and old. Probably the best way to find out about them is to ask on our forums.

We've been scouting around for summer and moved from west to east and back again!!! Now finally decided on east. We stayed in Gorges du Loup last year but can't get on this year but wanted to stay in the area to visit Monaco, Nice etc with kids. We are ony thinking of about 5 days and then moving. We have taken to using non motorway routes in France but we find the irregularity and uncertainty of fuel stops a tad stressful! OK, most towns have supermarket fuel but as they also have very efficient by passes, it's often too late to stop and accessibility with a 'van can be tricky. Camping La Bastide - Dordogne - Anybody been?

Been looking at http://www.camping-bastide.com/gb/FrameGb.htm which is at St Foy La Grande, just west of Bergerac. Site is right on the river (Dordogne), and within walking distance of the town. Have seen a few reports which look OK, but some are a couple of years old, I understand it has been taken over last year by an English couple, but have only seen 1 recent report (good) -there are some more on the ACSI web site, but my Dutch is not that good! Anybody been there last year??
