     Help MPs and FairFuelUK secure 'PumpWatch'  Please help us to Set up an Independent Pump-Watch body to monitor and regulate vehicle fuel pricing.

    You may be surprised to learn that how much we pay to fill up our cars vans and trucks isn’t regulated at all. And having no government watchdog or independent pricing body means that how, when and why forecourt prices rise and fall is a closely guarded secret. We think that’s wrong!

    The FairFuelUK Campaign’s 1.3 million supporters along with hundreds of MPs and their constituents want this to change.
    We’re recommending an independent Pump-Watch body to ensure everybody understands how road fuels are priced and that the 37 million drivers in the UK get the fairest and most transparent deal possible. So, if you can’t understand why fuel prices rise almost overnight but take weeks to go down, please sign this E petition.

    Background: In last 3 weeks’ diesel, base supply cost is down 11.66%, the published wholesale cost is down 4.07%, YET at the pumps as to what we pay when we fill up it is UP 3.81% - Similarly for petrol: base cost down 9.84%, wholesale down 3.42%, BUT at the pumps it's UP 3.20%

    FairFuelUK is the Nationally Recognised Award Winning Campaign fighting for lower petrol & diesel prices and is widely accredited with stopping £70 billion of fuel duty and VAT being levied on businesses and the public in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 . FairFuelUK is supported by 1,384,000 members of the public, the 20,000 haulage businesses in the RHA , FTA and the Association of Pallet Networks - Over 140 MPs have also declared their support for the FairFuelUK Campaign. The Campaign's primary focuses are to see a significant cut in Fuel Duty (with VAT the total tax approximates to 66% of the pump price), more pricing receipt transparency and for petrol and diesel to be of equal levels of pricing at the pumps.
    We only send emails out when there is a key event in the campaigning cycle such as the Budget, Autumn Statement, APPG Meeting, Lobbying Event that warrant contacting you for support. Without your help it is harder to convince the decision makers in Westminster to act favourably on your behalf. They do listen to you!
    The Camping and Caravanning Club has joined forces with Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome magazines to support the industry-leading annual Caravan and Motorhome Owner Satisfaction surveys.
    They welcome feedback from anyone who has bought, owned and toured in a new or used caravan or motorhome since 1 January 2013. The surveys are now sponsored by Club Care Insurance, the insurance provider to The Camping and Caravanning Club.
    Club members and other caravan and motorhome enthusiasts are invited to complete the 2017 surveys, with the results announced in January 2017, ready to help campers plan for the season ahead. Both surveys close on 16 October 2016.
    The results will also be published in full in the March 2017 issue of Practical Caravan and April 2017 issue of Practical Motorhome, in the Club’s own February magazine and online at each of the three partners’ websites.
    The surveys are long established and their results are highly regarded by caravanners, motorcaravanners, dealers and manufacturers.
    The Motorhome Owner Satisfaction Survey was launched in 2004, and the Caravan version followed in 2012. Over the years, tens of thousands of caravan and motorhome owners have reported in depth on their experiences of buying, owning and using their outfit.
    The results are essential reading for anyone considering buying a caravan or motorhome, new or used, whether from a dealer or private sale. The information and league tables of the best performing brands and dealers will be made available to all. It also provides valuable data for caravan and motorhome manufacturers to make use of when planning and improving their own products.

Along with our existing Tent Owner Satisfaction Survey, they will add to the authoritative advice we’re able to provide members on all forms of camping.”
