The Best of British is our crowning glory

caravanning and camping articles There is no better time to enjoy sea, sun and fun on a Great British holiday than in 2012, the year of the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

There will even be extra special days off to celebrate and where better to spend them than at Bunn Leisure, which has just been crowned Tourism South East’s Holiday Park of the Year for the third year running.

Summer is more fun at Bunn Leisure, with its star-studded entertainment line-up, mile of bucket-and-spade beach and tropical Oasis pool complex right on your doorstep in Sussex.

It’s easy to get to but a million miles away in terms of pure escapism, situated on the southernmost tip of Sussex near Selsey which enjoys its own micro-climate with more sunshine than any other part of the UK.

World-class entertainment for this year’s season, which kicks off in March, includes Benidorm’s Crissy Rock straight out of the jungle, Strictly Come Dancing stars Katya Virshilas and Pascha Kovalev, soul legend Billy Ocean and popular CBeebies presenters Chris and Pui.

Holidays at Bunn Leisure include the use of a fantastic range of leisure facilities. The Oasis tropical complex has Megasplash water slides, Fountain Island and a Lazy River and a 25-metre six-lane competition pool. There are two full-size football pitches, four mini football pitches, basketball and volleyball courts, six tennis courts, the Topdeck Gym, an indoor amusement arcade, beauty centre and a choice of restaurants, take aways and shops.

Four action-packed kids clubs keep children from under five to 17 years happy. Bunni clubs keep younger children entertained with creative play, singing, dancing and circus skills, while older youngsters have their own chill-out zone with the TeamStars.

At night, live shows by world-class performers – which last season cost £1 million – take to the stage at a range of venues. The 2,000-seater glitzy Embassy Club, Viking Music and Dance Club, White Horse Club and JB’s Sports Bar offer a full range of entertainment which includes live bands and Bunn Leisure’s multi-talented show team.

Bunn Leisure’s location is the ideal base to explore the south coast’s many attractions on its doorstep. Nearby Selsey Bill was recently named as the best beach for beachcombing in the UK and East and West Wittering, Bracklesham Bay and Pagham Harbour have miles of unspoilt natural beauty, perfect beaches and wildlife havens.

The charming cathedral city of Chichester is just to the north of Selsey, with a great mix of high-street and boutique shops in a perfect setting. Chichester’s harbour has a crinkly coastline of creeks and inlets to explore and is now the biggest leisure harbour on the south coast.

Nearby, Portsmouth boasts an Historic Dockyard which is home to HMS Warrior, HMS Victory and the Mary Rose. For designer fashion it also has Gunwharf Quays which sits beneath sky-scraping Spinnaker Tower standing taller than the London Eye, Blackpool Power and Big Ben.

However you choose to spend your time, family-owned Bunn Leisure uses its 50 years’ experience to keep holidaymakers coming back each year to make more treasured memories. That is why visitors voted it the Best in the South of England for fun and laughter in Hoseason’s customer awards.

Look out for great offers throughout the season, which runs from March until November.
