Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations world record

Calling all campers! National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW) is running for the 12th year in succession, from 2-8 June 2012.

Arguably our biggest and best event ever, we invite you to join in the campsite fun and celebrate with us the nation’s growing love of camping, caravanning and the great outdoors, with over 50 exciting events planned at campsites up and down the UK.
Whether you are an experienced camper or new to camping fun, taking part in our camping and caravan events is a great way to make new friends, spend quality time with the family, experience the benefits of living in the great outdoors and take time to truly appreciate the scenic wonders of nature.

Coinciding with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend, National Camping and Caravanning Week begins with a right royal celebration to mark this once-in-a-generation event.

On Sunday 3rd June we will be supporting The Big Jubilee Lunch; getting together with fellow campers at campsites across the country for community, friendship, fun and a delicious lunch. Then on Monday 4th June, we will be embarking on a Guinness World Records Attempt for the ‘most people wearing paper crowns across multiple locations’. The World Records Attempt will take part at each of the Club’s 110 award-winning campsites and 20 Camping in the Forest Sites, so why not come along for the chance to join millions of the world’s greatest record breakers and feature in the world’s best selling copyrighted book?

Throughout the rest of the week the fun continues with fancy dress competitions, quizzes, fireworks, skittles, dancing, guided walks, barbecues, a best dressed van and dog show, Mad Hatter’s tea party, games, treasure hunts, waggy tail competitions and face painting to name but a few. In addition to the wide variety of entertainment on offer at our campsites, experts will be on hand to offer camping advice and demonstrations to help you really make the most of the great outdoors.

So wherever you decide to celebrate; a Club or Camping in the Forest Site, a Certificated Site, District Association Meet, join with us and celebrate NCCW in style by pitching up and enjoying some camping and caravanning fun!

We will be in Wales, and I imagine there will be a party atmosphere.  Last year two ladies sorted out a street type party which many enjoyed on the Royal wedding day.

We hope to be there for about 10 nights - so we will be doing our bit Posted Image
