Very sad news this morning as we heard that Alan Portchmouth aka Kiaman sadly passed away this morning. Our thoughts are with Sylvia and the family.

Alan was a gent and one of those guys that always had time for you......and was a fair cook as well. He will be missed.

If it is same person I may mention it there.

Geoff

This is how exkiaman 'signed' his posts -suspect the same - very sad news.

Alan & Sylvia; recycled teenagers happily spending the kids inheritance.
Happily tugging a Bailey Unicorn S2 Cadiz behind a Mercedes C Class Cdi AMG Estate.

Always happy to meet, sorry to part & happy to meet again!

I posted the news on CT and there have been several similar replies of sympathy.

One person who obviously knew him well reports:-

"Spoke to Sylvia yesterday and he had been in hospital for two weeks on end of life care. He had a wicked sense of humour and will be sadly missed"

I am very sorry to hear this bad news, When Maureen was alive we met up with Alan and Sylvia a number of times on various meet ups. RIP Alan, you will be missed.

Very sad to read this post. I know he was a true friend to T&T all the years he was here. Lots of interesting contributions. Sad for Sylvia , I don’t think I met her, I do hope that she copes.
