Thetford fridge door.

Question

Posted

While travelling with the van an item inside moved and has put a big scratch along the fridge door.

I've priced a new one at £135. It's a Thetford N112 with a curved black door. Has anyone had one repaired and if so who did it and what was the finished job like ?

Thanks in advance.

I would think if you can remove panel and take it to any decent car body repair shop they would be able to re paint in any colour. Prob a lot cheaper than new,

Same here, although the damage was caused by a Deet derivative the wife was spraying over herself!

Got up next morning and all the paint was missing from the door!

In good ol' Blue Peter fashion, sticky back plastic?, just a thought.

Bust a hinge on mine a few years back, wandered in to see the chap on the Dometic stand at a motorhome show where I was camping, he rung his buddy the service engineer, he showed up, I showed him the damage, he asked if I was staying until the next day, yup being the answer, 10 a.m. next morning he turned up with a new heaver duty door and hinge set he just happened to have lying around, 10 minutes later and a slip[ of 50 notes, nice new door all fitted thumbup.gifthumbup.gifthumbup.gif

I’m off again on Thursday and hopefully getting more. That fish was my first from this water for a long time. I left the club about 15 years ago. There have been a lot of changes since then especially in the fish size apparently there are at least 20x20s and 4x30s. So I am hoping for something a lot bigger
