Can't "copy" "cut " or Quote from previous

Ant idea what I am doing wrong?

When in a topic and there is a post you can normally click on "Quote" and add to the start of answering the quote that is just above.

For some strange reason that don't seem to be working -- it may be that I have a new computer and a setting hasn't been sorted correctly.

I have also noticed that if I am typing and I highlight a word and click on "cut" the word goes but when I try to paste it don't come back.

What box needs to be ticked..

I am using Windows 7 Home premium.

Any ideas please for a non-computer person.

Maurice

Try the toggle button if the text area is greyed out http://screencast.com/t/MpR4wxytOt10

No just tried it [the toggle button] and it switched off/on the editing tools and greyed out everything but still cant cut and paste.

Just tried cut and pasting in other windows progs MS Word 2010 and MS Excel 2010 and it seems to work both cut and copy.

Just tried "cut" and it removed it tried to paste and it wouldn't work -- so tried undo and it undone it and it was back? in the same place -- also "copy"...same same

So is it only in here???

My computer was too old so I gave up on it . I just use an I pad now . But I would like a lap top so I can send and transfer photos .

Plus any problems I need to wait for my son to come home but it's not that often .

OK thanks - I'll try that and see if it's anywhere near the 1050cm I believe it to be based on the caravan size (assuming that THAT's correct lol).

Quite right, the beading length is not the one dictating the size.  The "A" dimension is from the ground back to the ground on the opposite side. As the awning's sides themselves don't quite  touch the ground, but stand about 5 cm above it, I would measure it along the van face edge as follows. From the lowest corner of the LH side panel right round along the beading to the lowest corner of the RH side panel,. Then to this add 10 cm for the "ground standoff" 5 cm each side to get the "A" size.   [Practically It could be easier to measure to a centre seam if that is a feature of the awning, and double that plus adding on that 10 cm.]
