new PC - blue tooth?

9 posts in this topic

just got the nw PC and slowly comming to terms with the new layouts etc. Windows all so glitzy after the old versions - (I go back to MSWindows 3.1)

now a small question - we have a laptop - tablet -two phones and TomToms etc.

All of these have blue tooth capability and can link to each other to a greater ot lesser extent.

Can the PC be linked in anyway? Perhaps to transfer photos for printing etc

Is there a way that I can get it to be blue tooth "compatible".

Thanks for the information in advance as I am sure that it will apear like magic from the wealth of knowledge out there.

I bet it it is dead simple and somthing I should have known

Maurice

Hi Maurice,

I'm sure they are compatible, my new HP came with windows 8 and me along with many others " just don't like it " . Our son set mine up to be compatible and photos or emails can go directly to either PC or phone ( saves downloading pic's ). I'm sure one of the techy's will be on soon to advise. Happy caravanning. indoors.

If you have an iPad you cannot use the bluetooth to a Windows PC or vice versa.

Are you talking about and older PC not the Lap top ??

All can be Blue tooth compatible if it's not built in by purchasing a super small USB Bluetooth adapter

http://www.rapidpcs.co.uk/store/product/2/

and they can be got from a £1 shop but don't buy one about £5 won't disintegrate so quickly

my new PC old one didn't either but just thought it was the age etc.

Marys laptop has aways worked and found the other devices, and vice versa.

So I need to get a "dongle" thing? for the new PC.

You can connect the new PC and old laptop on your home network (Wireless or Ethernet) and they transfer files back and forth.

Otherwise, as the post above, buy a Bluetooth adaptor.

As said has the battery been checked.  It is at the bottom underneath.  I think you may need to remove the from cowling to access it? This just clips off.   Can someone confirm?

All the Truma heaters I had were AA battery powered,I found out the hard way of freezing one New Year...lift front off and should be a little holder at floor level....replace battery and try again. If it isn't this it could be the thermocouple...but would think anyone with an savvy doing servicing would know this?? geoff
