caravan windows tint

Question

Posted

Hi

I was wondering is there a way to tint my KNAUS windows (not changing) without doing any damage ,they are made of Polyplastic?

Know someone who tried to do this on his Elddis and ended up with streaky windows...then he bought so solarscreen film which after cleaning off the tint was cut to size and fitted quite well...made inside very dark I'm told...

Not at all sure it would be feasible to 'retro' tint caravan windows as it is done originally? but they simply dip it in a bath of hot dye. Watched this on 'how is it made' one evening, they were tinting stage lighting film in different colours and depths of colour, basically the heat opens the pours of the plastic and the dye soaks in, the longer it's in soak the darker it gets!

I’m off again on Thursday and hopefully getting more. That fish was my first from this water for a long time. I left the club about 15 years ago. There have been a lot of changes since then especially in the fish size apparently there are at least 20x20s and 4x30s. So I am hoping for something a lot bigger
