Eurotunnel Fuel Calais

Has anyone stopped at the Elf petrol station on the exit from Eurotunnel in Calais? We have always got a fleeting glance at the prices which have seemed OK but never remebered to get in a position to call in! Is it worth filling up there or better to wait until Les Deux Caps on the Boulogne autoroute?

I have filled up at the first fuel station you come to after leaving the Shuttle in France. Entrance and exit onto the same road before you exit the Tunnel complex. Seems better value than the autoroute but not as good as supermarkets.

Here's the map. The green route is the exit from the complex to the A16. It crosses the Boulevard de Europa on a flyover.

Please be aware of the bio diesel fuel problems -- with the turbo charger etc

-- as highlighted in another thread.

France uses mainly bio-diesel fuels now.

Lill,

On leaving the tunnel go straight on to A16 direction Boulogne. Leave at sortie/exit 41 (not far) and follow signs to Coquelles commercial center about 2Kms. As you approach commercial center which you will see on your left (Auchan, Sainsburys & many others) at roundabout look straight ahead and slightly to your right you will see Auchan fuel station. It's large and caravan friendly with cashier takes UK credit cards. I use it on my way out to Spain and brim the tank on my home to UK also handy for a bit of shopping.

Anyone see Monty at the show on royal day He needs to have a serious word with his tailor , looks like he borrowed his suit from Worzal Gummage Then later seeing him sitting with Grason Perry , got me thinking Aunt Sally had turned up to see Worzal  , Also watching the show , a realisation came to me about what irritated me about modern presentation styles A Radio 1 presenter ( forgot her name ) was talking about her gardening , well at least I think that is what she was talking about , she was spitting words at a machine gun rate and my ears could not keep up with her . Later Joe Swift came back on and spoke in a measured and clear way easily understood and absorbed . The realisation is ,that now days on radio and yoof TV p,resenters seem to  have to gabble at top speed Hence , I struggle to listen to Radio 1  , and 2 sometimes , LBC  just to pick a few. Must get new batteries for my ears !
