Inverbervie Beach

2 posts in this topic

I am off to Scotland next weekend

On a site 50 meters from the beach

With the river Bervie running along the side of the site

Hope to get a bit of fishing in both the river and the sea

But I have not fished up there at this time of the year so does any one know what fish to expect out of the North Sea

It’s a steep sloping stony beach with the fresh water running in as well

Had some mackerel last time but it was later in the year

Also caught a seagull and a balloon just to be different

What time of the year do salmon and sea trout start running up the rivers?

As they do go into the Bervie

You could catch pollock ,cod, bass, mackerel, dogfish, Plaice flounder maybe even the odd haddock

However even in scotland although no rod licence is required except for the tweed and another river you do need permits to catch migratory fish like salmon and sea trout or you could get done even at the mouth of a river I believe.

Thanks for the welcome. I have a solid tyre on my hitch and was looking at how people get around motor mover eating said tyre. Being kept on gravel certainly doesn't help.
