hitch posts

Have been looking at getting one of these for when the van is at home.Does any one use one and are they any good.I did see one at camping and genral at canvey.?15.00 on special offer.Looked like a good bit of kit which bolted to the floor and could be lifted and lowered. It had a loop which when lifted up went over the hitch, which stopped the van from going forward or side ways. The thing that put me off was that it was always bolted to the floor and was not able to be removed, this would get in the way when the vans in storage.

I have used the Bulldog post for the last few years, its brilliant.

The post is set into concrete in the drive and has a cover for the hole when not in use. Its a sustantial bit of kit and is unlikely to be removed with anything less than an angle grinder, which would probably attract some attention

If you use a hitch stabiliser it will only fit on the post if the van is square to it.

I’m off again on Thursday and hopefully getting more. That fish was my first from this water for a long time. I left the club about 15 years ago. There have been a lot of changes since then especially in the fish size apparently there are at least 20x20s and 4x30s. So I am hoping for something a lot bigger
