Italian campsites in March

Apologies if this should be in the forum about sites open all year.

My boyfriend and I are off on a six month tour next year, with a tent, and we'll be starting in Italy in March. Are we going to struggle to find campsites? Everything i see on the Web seems to open in April. does anyone have any esperience - will it be impossible, or are some places open?

Any help would be great - thank you!

One thing we found out last year, is that Italian sites can fill up at the weekend just like here.

We are really looking forward to getting a motorhome so that next year we can find quiet lonely places and stop not having to worry about whether we are aligned on pitch or whether the hook up is in reach of our cables. . Like quiet lonely places!

I wonder  We mostly use tents caravans and motorhomes so yet another Static park just doesn't shake my tree I really feel their narrow gapped ranks of uniformity are horrible We are really looking forward to getting a motorhome so that next year we can find quiet lonely places and stop not having to worry about whether we are aligned on pitch or whether the hook up is in reach of our cables  So we will not be visiting this place but thanks for giving us the information so we can steer clear
