In the report I read which had pictures of a car and caravan descending from the upper deck, I didn't like the look of the small space available. I went on a Norfolk Line with this arrangement with our Rexton and there was only just enough room. I shall not be using this route! Jackie
For those of you that think being a warden is a doddle, done properly it is hard work. Watch out for the site owners/employers that expect you to work for nothing/your pitch with electric - well now there's a surprise! A recently advertised vacancy for part time assistant wardens expected victims to work for the first 10 hours for nothing. Since when did a pitch + ehu for 10 hours actually cost £60£ (minimum wage)? This is the first time I have seen such an advert, but I guess times are hard.
Most European site owners, including British, also offer no payment at all. However, if you are lucky enough to find a French campsite owner to pay you to work for them, then the wages are really a lot higher than we get in the UK. French Campsites are also visited by officials from the French government to trying to enforce French legislation regarding working conditions and rates of pay.
