Sounds to me as if the actual motor has moved away from the tyre, have a quick look at the opposite wheel and check the distance from the tyre to the mover, it may only need loosening and re-aligning then re tighten the bolts.
Half hours work if that, easy peasy

    Alde Heating
Can anyone help with my dilemma, please

Sometimes my heating goes off in the van and the only way I can get it back on is to remove the fuse and re-start the system.

    All answers appreciated.

    Hi Marco f1,

    I had a C5 2.0 HDi VTR Hatchback 2005, 54 plate.

It was one of the best Towcars I have had, I live near the Heads of the Valley and anyone that knows this area can tell you of the steepness of the hill climbing out of Abergavenny, anyway, the car used to climb that hill in 5th gear with no problems at all, leaving my Brother-in-Law way behind with his Honda Accord 2.2.

We also used to go to Gloucester several times a year and use the short cut over the mountain from Monmouth, again my C5 would leave my BiL standing.

    Our Caravan weighed 1350Kg

So you have chosen an excellent towcar, keep it regularly serviced and you'll have no worries

    Caravan Site with Sea View
Can somebody suggest a Caravan site with a Sea View in either Hampshire, Dorset or Sussex.
It can be a Caravan Club CL or even a commercial site so long as it's not too expensive

    Site required for next Easter.

    All info greatly appreciated

  6. dirkydel added an answer to a question Sky Signal

I have had a response to my complaint from the caravan manufacturer, and it reads

"I have arranged for a signal splitter to be sent to your home address which is compatible with sky"
Hopefully now all will be well :)

    Hi Surfer,

I wish people would read the post properly, it is not me that has fitted the splitter, it is the manufacturer of the caravan.
I am merely trying to find out if they have fitted the correct type of unit, as when I set up my Sky system in the van I cannot get any Sky channels due to lack of signal strength, once I remove the splitter and connect direct then everything works fine.

    Is that clear for everyone

I do appreciate everybodys input, but am sure that people are getting it wrong, it may be the way I have tried to explain, if so I apologise

    Hi Surfer,

The set-up in the caravan is like this

LNB - Caravan Jack plug - 3-way splitter (http://cpc.farnell.com/1/1/30025-splitter-3-way-uhf-5-1000mhz-fju603-labgear.html)- 3 separate distribution plugs - from 1 distribution plug into the Satellite receiver

    Hope this makes it clear

    Thanks Fishydave

It was fitted by the manufacturer on the Sky system to split the signal into 3 separate sections of the van, I have already emailed my manufacturers so I will send another to tell them what u have found out

One more thing, for the manufacturer to replace the signal splitter to a suitable Sky signal, what should they be sending me?

    Sky Signal
I had an issue with my Sky signal in my caravan, basically I wasn't getting the signal into the van, I checked the cable and connections, even replaced the dish and LNB, all to no avail, eventually traced it to the Signal Splitter, removed this item and - No Problem.

    It is a Labgear FJU603 3-way splitter 5-1000MHz

Seems to be a sealed unit, so cannot be opened to check on connections, has anybody else had an issue with Sky in their caravans.

As I mentioned in the previous posts, the cover I had was specifically made for the make of caravan and the lights are visible through the material, I have checked this on each and every journey that we make in the van. Not a problem

Bought mine from Pro-tec covers, made to the specific of the actual caravan you have, cost us around £85. The best thing we bought, stops all mess on the front of the van.
