    Hi
I'm thinking other way round now. My son who is MOT tester says they now use stick on weight plates.
Probably on there now is original plate when made as chassis cab and supplied to Mobilvette then put on body. After Motorhome built they registered it with authorities as now being 3860kg but did not put on new weight plate. But this is only a theory, so need to look at getting proper plate.
At 70 you need to fill in medical form D4 to drive over 3500 kgs. There are other people other than your doctor's as they can charge lots of money. Just look up HGV medical they do the over 70 as well. Cost me £65 last year to keep my HGV licence, don't know why, as don't work anymore.
I will reach 70 in 3 years time flying by when you get old.

    Hi
The plate on door pillar is this original plate they come like that now.
    Plate says
    3500 kg
    5500 kg
    First Axle 1870
    Rear Axle 2060.
    My weight at moment
    Front Axle 1780 kg
    Rear Axle 1980 kg
    Gross weight 3760 kg
As 3500 is the only plate on vehicle and V5 logbook definitely says 3850 have to look further into this.
Has anyone else noted this,  I can't be the only one or am I.
When I pick up my Motor Scooter couple of days time will be adding another 75kg.

My bike is illegal in Europe and UK as newer than 2016 after that must be pedalec
With my Arthritis I need the throttle to pull away.  In my manual I read last night it says if using in main land Europe disconnect throttle. So going to purchase a Yamaha 125 Delight. If electric bike is classed as motorcycle over there might as well use a Motor scooter be able to explore further a field. Just got to make more room in Motorhome garage for it.
To be honest can only travel about 5 miles on electric bike there and back.

    Hi
Have looked into getting Automatic tag for French toll roads but they ask if over 3.5t and if over 3m high would be committing fraud if tell them yes.  So going to go down though France to Spain on none toll roads have A bit of a roam about if go on toll road will just have to get out walk round and pay hoping get charged 2 instead of 3. But since I lost my wife in September got loads of time to explore.

    Hi
Just received my temporary French emissions certificate, it took 3 days to arrive by email. Hardest thing about email form was trying to get photo of V5 form down to 400mbps.
Now waiting for the disc not going to France till mid January so plenty of time.
Probably not going to ever need it but knowing that you can get caught out in London Zones best be prepared. Only cost about £4.
    Got cert 3

    Hi
Think I got it wrong, think I would come under class 3 not class 4 quite a lot of difference between the cost of 2 and 3.
They must have a safety margin for measuring I wonder what it is. As properly be less than 3inches fully loaded.
As going on own wanted to get automatic payment as don't want to have to get out and holding up traffic.

    Hi
Looks like I full into class 4 sounds like it will be expensive 3in to high and 350kg over weight.
I wonder what the extra expensive will be.
Might measure it fully loaded might loose 3 inches.
Still got the extra weight do they check on that.

    French toll roads
    Hi
Think about going to Spain in New year driving though France.  I am a bit confused about toll roads I now have a Motorhome Mobilvetta Kimu 102. The dimensions are GVW 3850, Height 3.09m, Length 6.95m.
Under what class would it be.
Trying to work out where it best to drive down though France or get Ferry from Portsmouth to Spain would prefer to drive through France.
But it looks like my Motorhome is in the higher class for Toll roads.

The courses one Coventry the other York.
    None in South.
Was thinking sending Daughter on one if it was closer to Essex.
As she now has my Caravan which I have to tow for her, would lend her my Rexton so she could tow it herself.
