Nikwax goes back a long way -- used it decades ago on my motorcycle suits and it did what it said it would do - don't have a tent and haven't used one since my RAF days back in the 50s but I would be prepared to trust Nikwax if I did.
Bought our first van in 2004 - a Swift Group 2 berth end bathroom changed it in 2009 for our present van an Airstream 532 - also a 2 berth end bathroom - wanted a more robust van as we wanted to go to Morocco where the roads can be a bit rough and it survived that trip very well.
I was 80 last year and the wife this year so in preparation for a grand tour of France and elsewhere as a celebration we started our plans whilst staying at our lodge near Battle in East Sussex. By the third day there we were well into our trip planning so the wife decides to take a wee break and do a little gardening - the garden is very small so only needs half an hour - BUT the wife slips, twists her leg, falls and breaks her hip!!!!!! Six hours later at The Conquest Hospital A&E the ''bones doctor'' announces NEW HIP required - here we are nine weeks later back home and whilst the wife is mending well we are not in France instead we are taking walking exercises along the Thames. As Bob says best laid plans......................
Oh yes 1965 - I was working on the Continent as a tour guide/driver wonderful year and 1966 was even better as whilst driving a coach on Continental tours I met my wife - she was my courier for most of the season.
