They're better - but twice as expensive.

I just got my son a Sweet Tablet Kola Cube - bigger screen than the Ipad. It's running Android Ice Cream Sandwich with a Jelly Bean update due in the new year.

All seems OK but you might want to consider a memory upgrade for storing films. £129 at the moment with the money of code, delivered. There is also a slightly dearer version with some extras.

I was impressed with the value. http://www.sweettablets.com/

Well it depends - if you are going from a site with EHU straight to one without, then yes. Also, my van is older so it will only allow you to use the 12v appliances if a battery is connected to the system.

Perhaps in cases where the battery is constantly being discharged up to 70% i.e. off EHU, but in cases where they are part of a charging system and constantly "topped up" during use, there shouldn't be any difference IMO.

I do exactly the same - both the batteries in my van came off cars after they had lost enough power to start the vehicle - and both have worked perfectly well for the past 3 years. The requirement for lighting and the few extra's in our van are nothing like as much as cranking a car.

We used one of them for 2 nights of lighting last summer off EHU before it needed charging.

Not that I do it, of course.

Eco friendly. Keeps the warmth in. Scandinavians would be made for it.

I think the common phrase for that is OMG!

Wow - must have been heartwrenching to watch. This too is a reason I use a standalone gas BBQ away from the van.

Sadly, to some car drivers, a caravan in front seems to be like a red-rag to a bull. Some just have to get past. Even if you're driving at a decent speed, some people just can't wait to overtake.
