I am with Surfer here...get a 'pro' to analyse for you first...this caravan is probably 20 years old now so things have changed....

Have you asked  any Autocruise dealers?
Are you a member of their Owners Club?...may be worth an ask.

  6. shipbroker added a post in a topic good speak for car manufacturer

Think it a little odd...but yes I would take the car myself. Date on the Plate, don't think it is as important as it used to be,unless you are one of these people who must have the latest of everything.... When I have changed cars, albeit not very often, these last few years I have been more interested in the mileage on the clock than how old it actually was. My last car was traded in last year, bought with 8000 on clock and sold with 148000 10 years on, the purchaser wasn't interested in the number plate just the mileage and service record.

Have 40 of them in bright purple boxes...but don't carry a drill and by the time I need one I will have given up caravanning anyway...but have seen them in use in Black Forest on scree slopes, excellent.

  8. shipbroker added a post in a topic Sad Sight

One holiday in France ( not the one where we got hit) we counted 5 caravan accidents in three weeks, 2 Dutch,3 Brits.....the first was about 40 miles out of Calais on A26....First week of August, new registrations just out, there was a medium sized Ford, new reg, did a flip about half a mile in front of us on a downward bank, brand  new caravan as underneath was still white.....the party of 2 girls and husband and wife got out and we were going to pull in but a French tanker driver stopped behind them blocking the road to further traffic and waving us to carry on..glad that they all seemed fine.
Without commenting on the others one was actually quite odd to watch as we could see it happen.....smallish Dutch 'van trying to overtake on a congested road, sees a gap opposite side to us...but there was a low loader with a crane jib sticking out...lifted his roof off nicely.....

  11. shipbroker added a post in a topic Why do you change caravans

SWMBO..." you don't know how much I hate this caravan!"
Then it is repeated each 'van thereafter.

Have not had any awning up for two years but would have lightweight table and a heavier version erected for use whilst painting...rarely ever the caravan table.
