Have not had any awning up for two years but would have lightweight table and a heavier version erected for use whilst painting...rarely ever the caravan table.

Right....my friends in Canada have replied as follows:-
Hi Geoff...  your caravan friend is planning a very challenging trip.  I have answered those questions that I'm able, below.  Canada is a beautiful place.  It's much larger than people realize and much less populated.  Our Country has only about 30m people in a Country the size of the U.S.  Every time we are out that way, there are cyclists on the road in the mountains on hair pin curves.  We hate them.

I have only recently re-purchased coarse fishing gear again after probably 25 years...still have not had opportunity to use it ( or my preferred fly gear this year). However,my days of specimen hunting are long gone....For many years I was a member of the National Anguilla Club, a Founder of the Hampstead Specimen Group (London) and knocked about with noted big fish men, such as Bob Church,Jim Gibbinson et al.
From my youth in North Yorkshire I was also a match fisher in local leagues and did once fish Angling Times Winter League final. What I seek now,or will when opportunity arises, are a few hours of Roach,Dace or Chub bashing....

Just down the road from me a while...The river is nice but not that productive..I normally go to West Tanfield where there is a well stocked trout lake.
