I just love the cassette, stops where you want, plays again where you stopped, gets chewed up! Oh yes, the time I have spent trying to put back the tape inside the cassette..............

Interesting read, but how many of you still have the capability to play them? I have, but what I don't now have is a dual speed reel to reel recorder to play my Beatles tapes which are in the loft. I think I will stick to one of these new fangled devices for music in the car. 4GB memory stick, holds lots of music

You wouldn't by any chance be referring to the trusty old "Akai 4000 DS" would you ...?
Yes I also have tapes but I don't remember what happened to the deck

We still have a music centre that plays cassettes as we have some original music that is not available on CD. Still prefer the old 8 tracks as you got a lot of music on them.
Sometimes I pretend to be normal, but it gets boring so I go back to being me.
