I notice that some threads have been removed, is this moderators or updates?

Hook, which went right over my head and the 2nd which is tragic in the extreme and probably best just left to the experts. I have asked the moderators to look at them but personally speaking I think I would rather leave them where they are.

Sorry to say Mark but that is a pain in the what-not

So many of us were of the same opinion and one person who was patently of another mind has obviously put the boot in.

Not exactly a moderate community.

I havent "put the boot in" but I did bring the Hook thread to Marks attention. I thought it was dangerously close to becoming legally suspect. Personally I didnt want to be party to you or any of your associates getting prosecuted or more importantly Mark himself as the host.

Thats all............better safe than sorry...........after all it was only a conversation / difference of opinion between 5 or 6 people......

Thats it Ive explained..........please dont continue it and turn this thread into another contentious one

So many? I think not, and well done Mark for removing the offending threads.

So you're putting yourself on a pedestal and being the forum's arbiter of legality and good taste ?

If anyone oversteps the mark, I'm sure we'll respect Admin or Moderators actions and/or comments - but not some jumped up pipsqueak who's just a member like the rest of us.

"JUST" a member?

Without the members this, and any other forum, would be pointless.

It's what it is all about.

And the "report" function is available for all to use if they feel the need, and many have.

"Jumped up pipsqueak" doesn't seem to be very conducive to reasoned discussion.

I thought better of you Roger

"Jumped up pipsqueak" refers to the narrow-minded attitude that seems to be seeking to suppress properly open discussions based on some hidden agenda from the PC brigade.

I fail to see that anyone got even marginally close to the legal limits on free speech in the Hook thread - if anyone objects to the legal expression of genuinely-held opinions that's TOUGH, that's what forums are for.

Do everyone a favour and explain why you think any statement of mine, or anyone else's, is foolish.

Physician heal thyself ...

There seem to be a lot of self opinionated idiots and egos running about at the moment - I'd have liked to see the offending threads so I could make up my own mind HOWEVER as I've said before this is Mark's train set so if you don't like it feel free to sling your hook Posted Image

So let's just respect the decision of the forum moderators. Thanks to them, and the light hands of Mark & Sonja on the tiller, this forum has operated superbly for many years. If you disagree with their decisions then perhaps you'd be better off inhabiting forums that are more closely aligned to your views.
