Have read a lot of good reports on this site so on our latest trip we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Its about 100 miles from Calais so a useful stopover point if travelling towards Rouen. See full report and pictures here  http://www.davidklyn...nte_claire.html

HI David - as always, you have provided an accurate description of the site visited...

We stayed here earlier this year on the way back from Blue Louis' place and found it to suit us for an overnighter en-route back to the UK.

I can confirm that a lot of people we know stop here either coming or going and are always impressed.

It is a do able one days long drive away from the Dordogne and is then only a short hop to the ports for an early crossing the next day (or vice-versa) and they don't mind people stopping for only 1 night.
My whole life is all about making certain special people have special holidays with us !
