I thought it was possible to detect multiple log ins. Dont you automatically generate an identity number regardless of the other info you provide

depends on wether you have a fixed i.p. address or not

Oops, well just gone and got myself wrist-slapped by Caravan Talk, and my postings now have to be viewed and passed by a mod before  they get published.

Well, I suppose it's better than being boring........"

Your connection has an IP address but with many ISP's this IP is dynamic and changes every time you reconnect. However, my IP address has always been a static one so I know that if it is reported that must have remained instant. The fact remains that I have been posting on there from the day after I was banned so I doubt that the software will recognise the IP address.

caravantalk is another pleasant forum.  Also now that the spammers are leaving it alone uk.rec.caravanning  on usenet is very pleasant though the amount of traffic through it is nowadays very minimal in contrast to the enormous number of contributors 10 years ago. I still prefer the usenet method of working to the online forums, but it seems that broadband and the spammers have almost destroyed my favourite group.

Main reason for using that forum is there are some helpful tips and the camp site search facility is very good.
You are right but when I have posted about sites on there they have been edited particularly if they are negative.

Really? I think not, if numbers are anything to go by, they may be doing a little better than we are here.
I am a member of both forums, and I believe they complement each other rather well. If I want to socialise or generally browse, then it's T&T; if I need specific information, or a quick reply, then CT has the edge. That's not to say that one is better than the other, just that they are different, and if you work within the rules, they are both of great benefit to caravan owners.

I only use UKcampsite to advertise something under their classified ads or to look up site reviews.
