EH !!

About £50 a time - google - lgv medical

My GP  wanted to charge the BMA approved fee, at the time £120, so I found an alternative source at £80 which rose to £100 in later years.

Demand has created a wider source and lower prices for D4 medicals but they are not always conveniently located.  I could have paid £60 but needed to travel 50 miles to do so.

I am surprised that the BMA charges such a high fee for a requirement needed by working people. I was told that the assumption is that the  employing company involved pays the fee.  Not in my case as an agency driver!

The "danger" for those towing illegally is the VOSA vehicle checks, at which police officers are normally present as well as VOSA - the VOSA officials would know within seconds if the outfit is over the 3500kg MAM total so it's a simple step for them to suggest the police check the driver's licence grouping.

I regret to say - expecting VOSA officials to know what they are talking about can be a VERY expensive mistake - I happen to have 11,500 reasons  to confirm this view.
Plus the experience of the little hitler on the M4 who was insistent that a Ford F250 was too light to tow an 8' wide caravan at the time.  I sincerely hope the two police officers he summoned without checking first enjoyed b*ll*cking him after they checked as much as we enjoyed seeing them do it!!

Old Saabs never die - you just see them fading into the distance....
Go Green - drive an ex-Military vehicle at about 3 miles to the gallon!!
