................Jill..............when we first encountered each other through these 'pages' you may remember that I had a recollection of caravanning next to an Opel Design Engineer who said 'we designed the Frontera for Belgian Chip Sellers and English Caravanners'...being mainly made out of parts that were freely available from other group products!...........BUT no mention was mad of percussion on the dashboard!

The Isuzu Mu and Wizard were themselves derived from the Isuzu TF pickup which was also sold in Europe as the Opel Campo and Vauxhall Brava.

Don't forget it was also badged as a Honda passport.
Quite a funny little dig at the "quality badge" brigade.

The Isuzu Mu/Wizard is one of the most rebadged models ever.
They've also been badged:- Chevrolet Frontera, Chevrolet Rodeo, Holden Frontera, Honda Jazz, Honda Passport, Isuzu Amigo, Isuzu Cameo, Isuzu Frontier, Isuzu Rodeo, Isuzu Vega, Opel Frontera, Vauxhall Frontera

That's wierd as Opel/Vauxhall didn't design the Frontera - it's an Isuzu Mu (3-door) or Wizard (5-door) built at the former Bedford truck factory in Luton under licence for sale in Europe and Australia as Opel/Vauxhall/Holden Frontera - but using a wide variety of Opel/Vauxhall engines.
The Isuzu Mu and Wizard were themselves derived from the Isuzu TF pickup which was also sold in Europe as the Opel Campo and Vauxhall Brava.

Don't doubt it Roger....I only passed on what he said......by the way he had a Range Rover on Irish plates!
