OLD point --Global Warming?

-- We was watching a TV program today when they were on about more of the worlds glaciers were getting bigger
-- but the"pundits of global warming" only ever report those glaciers that are shrinking..
Also what about this cold weather we are having now??
Normally at this time -- my sons birthday next week -- we have our first BBQ
-- been the same for 20 years -- but now - Rain and hail.
So have they got the weather wrong -- is it getting colder -- NOT warmer
Plus the fact we go to the South of France in two weeks
-- and the temperature are colder than here
-- Something wrong some where??

Surely because it showers a lot in April but has not done so for many years, so now April is simply living up to it's name.
So that's a wet April explained, what worries me is the Forecast for May when the rain turns to snow!!

Saying that there is some extremely odd weather patterns and events that have been unprecedented over the last few years, and by few i mean extremely recently, just 10 years or so.
But i still dont believe its man made, and ive read nothing (and i read extensively) to make me consider that it is.

Whether you believe in it or not (I'm undecided) there's something to be said for taking oil from the earth, burning it and releasing the toxins into the environment. The damage caused to life from breathing and ingesting the bi products and toxins from burning fossil fuels is well documented...

IMHO this type of weather has been occurring for centuries, but as we never had good communication like phones and the Internet, it was never known about. By the time news got to the other side of the world it was old news and not worth bothering about, but today if a celebrity stumbles and falls somewhere in the Artic, within minutes the whole world knows about it!

20-odd years ago there was no such thing as Landfill Tax. It was introduced to encouraged recycling (a good thing), and the revenue was supposed to ring-fenced for environmental projects. It now cost £64.00 per tonne (increases by £8.00per tonne year on year which is getting on for a 15% increase for industry) and of the billions it raises how much do you see invested in 'environmental' projects?
If they could tax the air you breathe it would be done for "environmental" reasons.
Con upon con upon con.

But they do! AKA CO2 tax, a politicians utopia if ever there was one!
I'm certain there is climate change but I cannot see how 'we' have much if anything to do with it, just the earth carrying on it's it's own sweet way as it's always done, what riles me is this idea we can measure it, when our lifetimes are less than a nano second in earth terms! What though I do in general support is getting away from fossil fuels and forcing a sea change in ideas on energy production.
20 years ago the various government's forced car companies to increase engine efficiency by setting targets and increasing taxes, that must be considered a good thing, without the same incentives breeding new sources of energy, the oil giants will simply ignore it and carry on in their own money grabbing world

However, the governments of the world have seen it as an "acceptable tax" and jumped on every opportunity to take advantage. This is what has led many people to believe global warming is a con perpetuated by their government.

Emissions should be decreasing over the centuries as we have less and less active volcanoes etc. Sorry I don't buy into this global warming myth and climate change happens naturally over the centuries.

Humans emit more CO2 in 3 days than all the volcanos in the world emit in a year..........a factor of 135 to 1
You only have to try and get anywhere these days to realise there are more cars on the roads. And thats just here. They have traffic jams in places that, only a relatively short time ago, didnt have roads never mind cars. Add to that the amount of deforestation (trees being the antidote) that goes on and it has to have a massive effect.

One volcano pollutes more in one day than all the vehicles in the UK in a year! Fact!
