Some of you -- like us keep a caravan in Europe -- we in France.
Or just might be thinking of it.
We were initially worried about servicing the caravan when over there to meet the Continental "running standards" and "habitation standards" at the same time as keeping it looked after and safe

We searched around and found a British Caravan fitter who only services vans on the continent [and Scotland].
Travelling to your chosen site and doing the full service.. [even the wheel nuts!!]

The prices are a little less than I was paying in the UK.. but the service seems to be done well.
All the prices are spelt out on the web site
Generally he does France -- Spain Belguim - Holland and as I said ---- Scotland ..
Fits and services movers etc.Approved Mobile workshop..

Name of Clive and secretary [wife] Helen --

Also has a list of sites in France and Spain and Scotland where they store caravans.

ON time -- had the email this afternoon saying that the caravan had been serviced..
A full 5 page " Approved Workshop"  .pdf report and damp test & Body work check sheet

Notes of the things that I had left undone

Electrics -- Turn OFF the Electrics to the Fire and the  Boiler -- both left on forgotten !!!
Water --To drain down the tank/boiler and leave all taps open.. - I  Hadn't drained down properly!

I forgot to leave the yellow leaver in the UPRIGHT position..
I had remembered to leave the taps open though -- a slight mitigation..

So all in all I think that the service has been done or they would not have spotted my deliberate mistakes !!!Posted Image Posted Image
Also I don't think I have had on a form all the gas pressure readings and flue smoke tests???Posted Image
Got the normal for the ALKO one shot nuts -- much  cheaper each than the UK though.Posted Image

All in all looking at my last UK service
--  Practically the same
--  but the UK one didn't give me the tips etc on drain down.
--  or smoke tests and pressure readings for the gas etc.
And also the price of the UK one was £107 MORE than the mobile service..Posted Image
and that is from a dealer that I have been using for 30 years !!
all in all I think it is a result..
