Hi, just returned fro a couple of weeks down near Fuengirola Costa del Sol..in an apartment not with the `van, I happened to pass Camping Fuengirola one day and was amazed to see so many `vans packed into such a small camping area...no 20ft.rule...no 10ft rule, awning guy ropes overlapped each others..
There were vans from all over,.....Germany, Scandinavian countries Belgium, all in like sardines, and hardly a glimse of grass anywhere, mud and shale.
Hmmm not for me i`m afraid, but each to his own...Posted Image

Well you picked a 'dog' of a site there.   But you'll find similar sites at every popular Spanish resort.   There are two near to me at Torre del Mar where vans are parked so closely together, the site resembles a carpark.   However, just ten miles inland there is a site where the terraces overlook the lake at Vinuela.   A few days ago when I looked it over, most of the pitches were vacant.   Downside is that its 8 miles to the nearest hypermarket and its altitude probably gives a frost most nights.

On a site about 40 miles to the east of Fuengirola where I've been parked since November, the nearest caravan to mine is about six pitches away.   Across the road, the entire lane is vacant.   But in spite of that it didn't discourage a motor van pulling into the pitch next to me so that his door was only a few feet away from my awning entrance.   From that, I can only conclude that some campers like to choose sites such as Camping Fuengirola.
