When are the courts going to come down hard on these barstewards and the authorities realise that this is serious crime (the value of stolen motor homes and caravans is a mega figure). Why does the law support the criminal and not the victim.
A caravan is for 12 months of the year, not just for summer.

Yes I agree,it's really tough luck.
You have the trauma of the loss, the frustration because no-one takes it seriously(ie.the police). Then to cap it all,you have to find another one.I can vouch for that bit, unless you're very lucky and find what you want close to home, you probably have a lot of travelling around searching for the ideal van--------and that usually ends up as a compromise.
Anyway GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH.Sometimes, just sometimes it can be a blessing in disguise, you might find something you like even more than the orriginal,I hope so.

So very sorry to hear your news. You must be absolutely devastasted and my heart goes out to you. Lets hope the Insurance cough up sooner rather than later soyou can take your holiday as planned.
We have just bought the new Bailey and decided to spend out on the Phantom tracker system. Apparently when you note the van has gone you first contact the police, get crime number, then contact phantom with crime number, then they will monitor the whereabouts of the van. you do not publicize that you have tracker fitted, so they are not going to have time to locate it, so they just drive it away and unbeknown to them they are being tracked. The only down side is, it cannot be tracked when in enclosed building BUT it has to come out at some time and Phantom are ready for them....
because it is Satellite based, it covers all of Europe as well as at home.
Maybe something to think about but I do realise that you wouldnt necessarily want the original back especially if it has been trashed...
Once again I am truly sorry and again hope all gets sorted out very quickly.

Mike, you must be gutted. I can only hope the Police/Insurance get it sorted out for you as quickly as possible.
I have put the info below on the home page the MSN site and my blog site.
Stolen
The motorhome is a Compass Drifter Merit 410 reg no N439VFJ with a bike rack fitted on the rear, the only distinguishing mark is a graphic high up on the nearside saying JAMIE.
