I have read the DEFRA website as best I can & can find nothing relating to my question
the question I have is do you HAVE to take your dog to the vets before you depart the UK ?

I know what we have to do before we return to the UK, but when we picked up the dog passport the vet said "dont forget to bring her in for a check up before you travel" .... is this just another rip-off or is it essential ?

cheers
Glyn

As long a the passport is up to date you don't need to go to the vet in the UK before you leave.
