Greetings All,

I have been speaking to the Caravan Club Overseas Travel Section.

I was attempting to book 30nights at Bonterra Park over the winter period.

We were sent the Winter Escapes brochure over a month ago.

The Winter Escapes Brochure clearly shows the price per night for 30 nights (including electricity) at £9.24 per night.

However, when I had given my dates to their rep. I was given an overall price in excess of £500 at a price per night of £18.17 per night. I asked for an explanation and was told,"There's been a mistake in the book".

The Caravan Club's system for correcting this error? Put a note in the brochures that they have sent out since the error was made. What else have they done? NOTHINGI subsequently spoke to a supervisor who stated that I was the first person who had queried the price change?. All I can say is that either 1. They haven't taken any bookings or 2. People are a lot richer (and dafter) than I have generally found.

I asked if the error had been printed in any of the Caravan Club's magazine, "No".

I asked if the error had been printed on their website to be replied,"That's a good idea????"

I was further told that it was not possible to correct the online Winter Escapes Brochure"  Balderdash. I know that it is possible to print over a previously printed document or in the worst case scenario take the brochure off the website and replace it with another edition already corrected.

All the other prices for Bonterra Park as shown (either on line or a physical brochure) are woefully incorrect.
So if you're thinking of going to Bonterra Park with the CC don't believe the prices in the brochure.
Why is it, when some people visit the fountain of knowledge, they only gargle????

Cracking site though! had a brilliant 2 weeks there last summer and will return in a year or 2.

Would love to spend a winter there.... forgetting the error how does £18 a night compare to other long stay sites in Spain?

Greetings iancjc,

Spain is different in it's pricing policy as they charge a lot for one night and the price drops the longer you are there. The caravan club have the same system when booking through them for the winter. I have just gone onto the C and CC site and find that they are charging£18.95 a night for up to 30nights with electricity at 6amps thrown in. If you are a member of ACSI you could go there for 15Euro's a night but that would start to become expensive if you were staying more than a month. At £18 a night I believe that Bonterra is expensive compared to other sites in the book.
On a personal note I've booked now for 31nights with the CC at Bonterra Park. I will sacrifice one night but the price per night drops to less than £12 (but I have to pay 35cents a kilwatt for electricity). The CC pricing policy is so bonkers you could stay at Bonterra for 30nights having booked and paid for forty nights and it would still be cheaper than if you had paid for thirty nights in the first place. I've just been on the CC site. Nothing has changed and no amendments have been made.
