French sites

Paris -- Quatre Vents -- we were the only touring van on the site!! loads of French domiciles who appear at weekends - however the site was till as wonderful and is now run by "madams" daughter who I remember as a gawky young girl all those years ago and now has a daughter of her own aged 13 -- woo how time flies.
Paris was just as nice and it does seem strange to be holidaying "out of season" now that we don't have to think of school etc.
we next went down to one of the Château sites near to Limoges - we didn't expect much of this site as last time there some 5 years ago the office people were very grumpy - but we were very pleasantly surprised - although the same people the man in the office must have had a mood in-plant as he was totally different and couldn't be more helpful -- making our arrival and stay there very pleasant -- we ate in the restaurant - dish of the day for €12.50 and the meal was great -- I suppose it pays NOT to judge people on the first impressions - we will definitely consider going back again another year.
Then down to our old favourite at Casteljaloux -- Moulin Campech with Bob,Dot, George and Sue all there to make your stay most welcoming -- in-fact the first words after Hi How are you? are "What would you like to drink?" and with temps in the high 20's that is most welcoming.
We are currently at Bau Rivage in the Mid - Pyrenees at a basteed town called Navarrenx again run by two nice Brits Wendy and Richard. The site is pristine. only one problem -- the heat yesterday WAS OVER 30 and we bought another fan for the caravan at night - In the cold you can keep warm but in the heat it is very difficult to keep cool - and get to sleep.
Spent today in the mountains - apparently they haven't taken the sheep and cows up yet from the low pasture to the high pastures -
It is very strange holidaying in the early part of the year.
We have arranged to come back here for six weeks in August/Sept..
As you have gathered this site has great Wi-fi [free] all over the site now and am sitting in the van with a glass of ice cold pink stuff trying to keep cool!
and we have to do another 10 days here! OMG will we make it to the ship at Bilbao!
all the best
