Nearly 20 years since we were last there! The beach is within walking distance but we found it a bit of a trek when you have to carry all the gubbins. Kim's Bar in Valras Plage does does very nice moules, we were staying at Serignan Plage at the time.

Stuart - love the look of this place and the area around it is excellent.

we tried to book in 2009 and were told our van was to big and they wouldn't take the booking - nothing over 7m's long in July and August I think was the problem.

we ended up staying nearby at Dragonaire - which turned out to be an over priced shithole.

and watch out for young french kids in Mercedes on roundabouts as they definately won't look out for you.

We stayed at this site a number of times and loved it - big pitches all with electric, water and waste, very relaxed, lovely town nearby, gorgeous beach.
However, we hadn't been for a few years and returned 2 years ago. The site had changed considerably with loads of statics where there used to be touring pitches making it all feel quite hemmed in. A lovely new pool area though with plenty of kiddies things, perfect for toddlers and smaller children. The biggest change though was the noise pollution from nearby bars and clubs which went on and on and on and on.....until 3 or 4 am., every night, and nothing you can do about it. We left earlier than planned as it drove us up the wall.
The site itself is good but we would never go back again. I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear and maybe the music thumping out won't bother you, but this is an honest opinion.

It is a very very busy area in the height of the season. We have been to La Yole twice with the children and grandchildren once in the main season and once before and certainly would not go during the main season again.
Hell on wheels might be a good description of the whole area.

Stayed there in 2008 in a tent, pitches near the road can be very noisy, toilet blocks locked at 11 at night,  just one or two cubicles left open.
Blocks drainage system of a dubious design and very dirty. (Went down with the biggest dose of the sh@#s I've ever had).
Beach is a trek from the camp but good once you get there.
Watch out if you're sat nav attempts to send you through Valras town, we only had a camping trailer with a big van it could be tight
Camp staff are great though nothing is too much trouble.
Would use again, just  didn't like the wash blocks closing at night. (Esp. in a tent)
