Any organised events this year or just the usual impromptu parties in the hut?

Yes and yes -  thinking caps are on here

Hi everybody

We've just brought our van back from a seasonal pitch and are akready itcing to get the van out again. We have never been on a rally but really fancy going away at New Year. You all seem like a friendly bunch and we would like to come along but have no idea what is expected, would we need to bring food and drink for parties? Is there an organised New Years eve party or just some informal get togethers.

How do we book or show an interest.

So many questions I know but if you dont ask you dont learn.

It's all made very simple so us Nottingham folk don't get to confused  ::D: all you need to do is go here, pay your £10.50 and then turn up at the rally

As for your other doubts, no one 'expects' anything, you turn up and do your own thing, you will obviously meet people and then by chatting, gain your feet at your own pace, bringing stuff to the party, for instance, will come naturally, but certainly bring your own beer, don't for one second think you can share mine

Just to say - I believe it's £21 deposit for New Year  :undecided:  - well that's what I've paid!

Hey there windsurfer..we have only been on 2 rallys and theyve been the ones here in Newark where we live :-)

I wasnt sure at first..but really enjoyed the rallys.

Most people turn up to this one the day after Boxin Day....but you can turn up whenever suits you.

They are hardstandin pitches with electric hookup and a nice clean and warm shower and toilet block close by.

We have the use of the hall during our stay there. In the evenings people pop over..takin their own drinks and some nibbles if you wish and generally sit around and have a natter. Last year my son took his xbox and we set up guitar hero world tour..this kept the teens and me and Ann-Marie occupied too..lol

You dont have to do anythin you dont want to..if you want to join in...then do..if like me..sometimes you get that snuggly n  warm in your van..you dont want to move..you dont have to..its upto you...

On NYE we have a party in the hall...with Disco provided by Lance *shakermaker*.. and we all contribute to the buffet...this can be anythin from some sandwhiches n crisps to a curry or a chilli ect.You take your own drinks in and get a table. We have a damn good night and suffer lots the next day (well i do anyway)..lol
Hope this helps...

Sal :-)

We are devasted to tell you that the New Year venue, is not available to us this year.

Every member currently booked has received a private message.

Having just found out on Friday 5th November we have spent several days hunting down another venue.

Tim at Parklands has now stepped up to help us out, and we are now booked there.

We are sorry that this will not suit everybody but it is still very central to the country with a clubhouse that we can access everyday.

You will find full details on the rally forums very shortly.

We are now booked on Parklands, on the borders of Lincolnshire/Norfolk/Cambridgeshire

Price will be £15 for up to 4 nights and £10 per night for anymore nights booked

We are negotiating wether to do our own food or have a buffet, and we can take our own drinks in. Comments please about what you think. our food or buffet?

This is a grass site, and we had a muddy road last week, however, the pitches were fairly good despite all the rain we had.
We will be in a different part of the campsite this time, nearer to the function room and facilities.
