We have booked to go end Sept/Oct     Ireland.gif  Ireland.gif and I can't wait............I could wish the time away but I will try not too! There is so much to do before, but in a few weeks it will be the 6 month of the year. Dreadful!  Time is going far too quickly!

Jill,

What are you saying?????

Have you managed to convince George to take the van?  Have you decided on an area yet?  I feel a mini irish rally starting.... thumbup.gif

Bikerbabe,

Have you tried the west coast of Ireland? If you like Belfast..you would probably enjoy Galway as well.   I agree that Belfast is beautiful....definately one of my favourite cities.  Are you planning to come over to Mondello in May for the BSB?

We are going to Ireland In September with our caravan, I agree the ferry cost is expensive ?300, but I think it will be worth it.  We are stopping at Cwmcarn Forest Drive campsite on the way there for 2 nights, and staying at The Apple Farm in Cahir County Tipperary for 1 week and stopping overnight at a C.L in Wooton Bassett on the way home, back to sunny Southend, Essex. Cant wait.  I will post details of how it all went when we get home, bye for now and happy holidays to everyone.

I won some flights recently so we used them for a trip to Dublin a couple of weeks ago.  It was our first time to Ireland and we really enjoyed it, but most of all, the stunning scenery from the plane as we came in and flew out has made us want to see more of the untouristy parts of Ireland as it looked lovely.  So, maybe the van will have a trip over in the future.

We are also going to Eagle Point in August.  Leaving Pembroke 11th August

3 nights at Glen of Aherlow 11th - 14th Aug
6 nights Eagle Point 14th - 20th Aug
5 nights River Valley 20th - 25th

Can't wait.

For us the price wasn't too bad when we considered the crossings to France via Plymouth or Poole.  The whole package was actually cheaper than a France holiday this year hence why we're going.
