From another post I gather we were very lucky that Predictable Bob never removed his shirt and blinded us with his lily white chest.   lol.gif

My name is Glyn (big 50) & partner Sandra (big 60) & our rescued 5yr old ex breeding minature schnauzer Primrose. I work for Royal Mail as did Sandra until she retired at the same time as Primrose. Between us we have 5 children & 7 grandchildren none currently living with us   We got our 1st van just after we met, 15yrs ago,  an Elddis mistral but this was in the days of cheap flights & we had motorbikes so it just didn’t get the use and was sold. 9 years on & the flights & bike tours had been completed time to return to the slow lane a folding camper was bought ..loved it, saw a lot of the UK & been to France at least once every year (Le tang, Loire valley) then decided we wanted to tour all year so a van would be more practical, not so much the cold but the rain, so our basic but cozy Going 300/ 2 berth was bought, we still have the camper in the hope the kids would use it but only 1 has so far.
We have threatened to try a rally but we enjoy our own company, more spectators than participants, not anti social & like a drink but just not party animals so to dip our toes in the water we are doing our 1st LMU at Burrs next month and then ………who knows ?

Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

hi,i am Stephen, been camping since 4yrs,as i grew up and got married to no1,moved to a nimrod trailer tent.then to a tourer then sold both as i got into timeshare which i used a few times a year, for 20 yrs.then illness struck and didn't do anything for a few years.now on my own after wife no3,no more wifes,i got a new tunnel tent but found my body didn't like camping so after a few trips and rallies with my brothers family he found me a sprite alpine 1985.i have done a lot to it to make it none elhu so tend to do several rallies at once.
i am a member again of cc.365 and tt so i spread myself about.all my 3 children,2g 1b live away.my son is in the army and youngest daughter has 4 kids.they were all raised on camping.now i look forward to joining up sites so i can do a road trip.i run my car on old cooking oil so it doesn't cost much, just fees.
am looking forward to seeing a lot of you.
i will be at Newark for 2010/1011 new years eve so see you there.

Hi, we are Ray and Rita.  Both nearing retirement but not able to afford to do it so we keep working.

Ray and I have both been married before and between us we have four children and twelve grandchildren with another due in November but we promise not to bring them all to a T&T rally at the same time! We have been camping/caravanning for 30 years in one form or another.

Ray is a maintenace manager in a psychiatric hospital and I am a facilities manager for a clinical research organisation.

Can't do too much T&T rallying this year as we are going to the Maldives in October but I am doing the Ladies Driving Challenge in June and we are going to be at the New Year rally so hope to bump into some of you then.

Don't know why we haven't done this before today but here it is a few things about us - - -

Dave - medicman - retired ambulance paramedic

Barbara - Tina - retired civil servant.

Two adult kids Caroline and Keith both very happy in relationships

Two grandsons - Kyle 7 - Harley 12

First rally was Carnforth and it was the most antisocial event we had ever been to and after we vowed never again.

Dolly talked us into going to Ferry meadow and the dogs at Peterborough we had a brilliant time  :wow: and have been to all rallies since with the exception of New Year - can't do New Year due to family commitments.

Like the people we have met and really enjoy caravanning.   :salut:

Hi am Sarah Lewis. I am a single Mum with a 7yr old daughter, Jessie. We have an Abi Dalesman and awning and we have been caravaning for about six years. We often go away with Nanny and Grandad but because its just us two I thought joining a group of people outside of the family would help me to  enjoy meeting with others. It would be the perfect opportunity to make new friends and even people in the same boat as us. It would also feel more secure in the knowledge that other adults were around if something happened to me while we were away.
Hope to meet some new people at the rallies and I'm planning to go to the Whitsun one.....hope to see you there.
Sarah and Jessie

Im Alan aged 57, sort of retired Metallurgist but not fully committed as yet. In fact Ive another job in the pipeline and hopefully its part time.

My wife is Pat age 54, we have 3 boys who are now men, all have a girlfriend or wife but no grandkids as yet.

Weve been caravanning for 25 years, on and off. We have only ever had Swifts, 2 Corniches and 3 Challengers, dont know why but theyve always been reasonably good and they seem to meet with our taste. We had about 2 years away when we bought a little bungalow by the sea. We still had a van but didnt use it but we missed it so we sold the bungalow.

We used to Rally with the CC but we havent done any for a few years so this year Ive booked 2 already, a holiday one in Dorset for 2 weeks.

We love Norfolk and the South West / Isle of Wight.
