Weekend away started with a long journey time of 3hours to travel about 50 mile, all due to an accident on the A14. So got to site and set up in the dark. Once set up had a quiet night in front of the telly with a gin and tonic.
Site looks a bit bleak at this time of year but was quite full for this time of year. Toilets were clean but in my opinion could do with some updating.
Next day took a bus into Cambridge city centre and spent the day shopping. Note, bus was filthy,expensive £3 return, overcrowded and uncomfortable, when we got back to the van found a note pinned to step saying sister and brother in law (Joyce and Kevin) came to join us for the weekend.  We went for a meal in the nearest pub to the site 'The Robin Hood and Little John'  very nice.
It rained the rest of the weekend apart from the Monday, day of return. We had an uneventful 1hour 15 minute journey back to the storage depot. Caravan electrics to 13pin still not done and will now have to wait till later.
Next time out has not been decided yet, but will probably be over the christmas period.

Well, back at Greethem for another week end. Didn't do the electrics as just relaxing again. Weather held out thankfully, and managed to do a geocache on the Monday before leaving for home. Having to leave a bit early for home now as storage site is now on winter hours and locks up at 5pm. Julie (my wife) was well inpressed with the motor mover when we went back to the storage site and put the van on pitch.
Joined the caravan club as I have booked onto their Cherry Hinton site and it saved me £7 a night . At least the saving paid for the membership. Going on the 27th November for another 4 nights. This is a Christmas Shopping weekend, one of many I think.
That all for now, although hopefully going to do the elects before going to Cherry Hinton.

Went to pick up the van Early Friday, motor moved to car ok everything worked as expected with the new mover. Hitched up, went to check lights and nothing. Removed socket from car and found some pins not fully forward, ahah this is it but no not so lucky. If I had the plug open once it was open ten times and still nothing. Going to put van back on storage pitch and decided to check canbus (is that what it is called) and found no power to it. 30amp fuse had blown. Very strange. Replaced and off I went. Nice week end of relaxation.   Have left van at campsite and will go back again next week end.

Hi all,
Had the motor mover fitted last week and going to use it in earnest this week-end.  
Going away to The Rutland Caravan and Camping Park in Greethem. This is our local 'quick week end away' park. Site wardens are a young couple who look after the site very well and we have never had any complaints to raise whilst there. Place is always tidy and within easy walking distance to the village. There is a local store and 3 public houses in the village. Nearest fish and chip shop is in Cottesmoore, 5 minutes drive away.
