This our CC Event field opposite the Royal St George at Sandwich for this years Open. I believe it is the only Open where you can rally and WALK to the course. We are literally the other side of the Ancient Highway, cross the road - through the kissing gate and across the car park field to the entrance.
Part 2 continues with the completion of the whole job. Before i bought this caravan, something had happened to it; looks like something had been speared through the side of the rear offside upper panel of the caravan and the repair was badly bodged, In part one you can see a picture of the rear brake light; this was sitting UNDER the trim strip below, and so water had been running in for a long time! The side repair was okay; but instead of replacing the inner wallboard, a cataloy scar was left. I ground this back so i could repalce the wallboard and while the board was off i left it open there for two weeks to dry out the rear corner. after wood preserver coatings i then replaced the board and rebuilt the washroom!
Pictures of the restoration project i carried out on my present caravan; the rear end was affected by rot and dampness, this had travelled horizontally to the upright at the offside corner but hadnt rotted that part of the timber, for pictures of part 2; see part 2. The rear end suffered from damp due to a badly executed repair at some point before i bought the caravan. This being the most important part of the repair, i did it first!
