...]]> You may have noticed that the Featured Members area has been the same for ages now and I've decided to rectify that now that membership is growing. So what I'd like to do - if it's ok with the boss - is randomly choose 4 members each month to be "featured".

If you are chosen I'd like you - if you wish - to post on this thread telling everyone a little about yourself - perhaps something that we don;t already know or just update the details we have in your profile. this is entirely at your discretion and if you'd rather not take part then that's fine - it's just a fun way of getting to know each other a little better.


You could even do it in the form of 5 things about me
eg

1. I have 3 daughters
2. I have a dog and a cat but actually prefer cats
3. I work in the printroom of the local college
4. I used to ride motorcycles and would love to go back to it.
5. I am a crafter and when I'm not on here I spend my time making hand made cards.


All of the above is fairly basic info about me and you can choose to be this basic or be a little more revealing!! Keep it clean and correct.
Nobody will run you down over what you post and you may even find others with similar interests etc.

Friends activity


This is probably the biggest change and certainly the hardest to get working right. Basically it show what all you friends are doing eg writing a post, blog, watching videos etc etc You should see tabs all activity, media etc, these will fill up when your friends do something on the iste You can also add comments to them

My Status
This needs you to alter, when you go to my crowd just go to your account page and update your status to whatever you want. Click the ? to add your status, click change to change it

Interaction
Again this needs you to make it work, and it works in the same way as crushes, you can now send a friend a poke in the eye, a beer a kiss whatever, more can be added if you want just let me know. Interactions are on profile pages, go to a friends profile to send them an interaction. For example http://www.touringandtenting.com/crowd/markf you will find the message centre and the drop down for interations

Record your own video
Webrecorder allows members to record video with sound via their webcams which can then be added to the site. To be honest I have used this once and it seems to work but there's no way I am putting a vid of myself online To access this go to chat suite


Puzzle maker

Glitter Text

No pets were injured or highscores lost in the making of these games
New look
There is now a new look to My Crowd, just a few changes, you can revert to the old theme by clicking the theme changer in your acount page
You may notice that the site is slightly slow at first but this will change as I have deleted old cache files, sessions etc


One change I haven't been able to finish is online games where you can actually play, battle with each other. If I can get it done before christmas I will if not it will be early new year


There is more stuff but that will do for now, hope you like it

Click on games and choose a game to play
Add a game to your profile:
Go to games, click on you favourite game, when open you will see add to favourites on the right hand side. Click that to add it to your profile
Challenge other members:
Go to the games section to the far right of each game you will see "challenge" punch in the name of the member you want to challenge and you should be good to go

Maps

The maps are now working in your profiles and the main map

Profiles When a member visits your profile they will see a map of your location. This info is just of the area, not specific. For example mine just points to Southend. http://www.touringandtenting.com/crowd/markf You can click the tag to see more info

Map page http://www.touringandtenting.com/crowd/geomap

This shows all members. Zoom and pan in to enlarge the UK map to see the areas we come from. Again you can click the tags to find out the members name

Its mainly to help you see if there are any members who live near you, its also very helpfull if you want to invite people or plan LMUs

blue tags blokes, pink tags girls, orange unknown

You may find the page slow loading the first time you visit but after that it should be fine
