Is it scary because you know what you were like at that age?
I worry about Gemma and boys because I know what I was like as a teenager...and I can't see that boys have changed much over the last 30 years.
No I was really boring as a teenager, left home at 17 had my own flat at 18 so if I made any mess or threw parties, it was my responsibility
But I think Mark knows where you are coming from
I think I worry more because I know there is drink involved and gawd knows what others can get you up to
Mark spoke to Kim last night, she has bought a phone card and she phoned again
She is being bitten my mozzies, I asked her if she had the stuff and she kinda shrugged me off (before she went) what do they say about Mums knowing best
Anyway, great to know she is OK and enjoying herself (but not too much
)
All scary stuff isn't it ?
I've no worries about Katie as she's too busy with her plans for world domination to get involved with boys at the moment (Dave & Paul would also 'interview' any prospective suitor if Katie wasn't scary enough on her own anyway !)
Paul's had a permanent girlfriend for 4-5 months now so we're getting concerened about what they get up to but Dave's still free, he got dumped (again) the other week - his response was along the lines of "I told her at the beginning that skateboarding comes first - if she can't handle it then that's her problem !"
They're talking about holidaying on their own after they've sat their GCSE's but if they don't come up with some concrete, economically viable plans soon then they'll be going to France with us (We WILL be going next year !)
Then again - we've still got to get this year sorted ....
Just repeating this from the T&T forum
Now I remember just some of the things we hate about package holidays
Our daughter is away on an 18-30's holiday in Greece :yikes: I know tell me about it
She is only allowed 15k of combined luggage weight, she is over, luckily for her she didnt have to pay on the way over, however, there is a possibility she will have to pay coming back, as her flight is early hours of this morning and she has of course spent most of her cash
So being the caring (OK I admit it stupid) parents we are, I phoned the airline today to pay the excess baggage in advance, so that she doesnt have any worries
The cost was 35
The 2 quotes I was amazed from the airline were
And
Q from me, "Well what does she do, when shes at the desk and cant pay"
A from them,
"Leave some of her luggage behind"
Needless to say Im gobsmacked but argued the point and have managed to pay that whole ã35
 Like I say, thats why we dont do package holidays
Work ????
More chance of knitting fog I reckon !
They seem to think that they'll be able to walk into jobs when they hit 16 in November - having said that they seem to be making contacts and finding out where they can get the most useful staff discounts so perhaps they're smarter than I give them credit for .....

Their NI numbers turned up last week, well in advance of their birthday and now all three have written up their CV's and got them out around the town
Hopefully I'll be able to stop their pocket money soon !
