The Old Station Caravan Park

The Railway Station at New Radnor in Powys, Mid Wales, first became a caravan park in 1966 following the closure of the New Radnor Branch Line in 1951. It has been in my family ever since that time and from 1975 onwards it was run by my parents, Mr & Mrs Niblett, who made many good friends of the people who loved to stay on the Park and came back year after year. The caravan & camping park is open for touring caravans, motorhomes & tents. We also have two static holiday caravans to let and we sometimes have pitches available if you would like to buy your own static holiday caravan in Mid-Wales.

It was necessary to provide your Passport details and sometimes wait an inordinate length of time for the gas Co. to respond to your request for a bottle. We've been scouting around for summer and moved from west to east and back again!!! Now finally decided on east. We stayed in Gorges du Loup last year but can't get on this year but wanted to stay in the area to visit Monaco, Nice etc with kids. We are ony thinking of about 5 days and then moving. We have taken to using non motorway routes in France but we find the irregularity and uncertainty of fuel stops a tad stressful! Camping La Bastide - Dordogne - Anybody been?

Been looking at http://www.camping-bastide.com/gb/FrameGb.htm which is at St Foy La Grande, just west of Bergerac. Site is right on the river (Dordogne), and within walking distance of the town. Have seen a few reports which look OK, but some are a couple of years old, I understand it has been taken over last year by an English couple, but have only seen 1 recent report (good) -there are some more on the ACSI web site, but my Dutch is not that good!
